are there any common oil leaks

    only asking as i have a oil leak i noticed it on the sump plug. I have not got into it yet but are there common sysmptoms regarding this. First i will try the sump plug and chexk the sump gasket and possibly the left bank rocker gaskets

    Rocker cover gaskets are prone to leak on most Audi engines in my experience.

    Yeah my 1.8T rocker gasket shows signs of weeping most of the way round. Of course the corner above the exhaust is worst and every now and again a drip lands on the exhaust and there's a distinct whiff of burnt oil. Really need to get off my arse and change it.
