I had my car in getting its Quattro oil change and they ran a diagnostic on it - i got a note back when the oil chnage was done saying that there may be a fault with an exhaust gas pressure sensor but they would need to run another diagnostic to confirm @ £58 + VAT.
I have since been using the car and it now has an intermitent fault that it starts to run rough and lose power for short periods of time - Audi saying this is the pressure sensor failing - never happened before it went in.
No they want £300 to do the job - Part is £42.11. 2.5 hrs to do job £85.00per hr + vat += £299.17
Can i get this done cheaper at another garage or am i better of getting the part and then asking a small independant gargae to fit it?? The car is out of warranty anyway so why stick with them? Thoughts welcomed.
