apy pistons ..

    ive been told many different things about audi s3 engines .. but the thing iam definatly not sure about is if the apy engine has forged pistons ? ? i know the rods are not but had several people say the pistons are forged and a few say they aint ...

    All 1.8t's have forged pistons.... the main difference is the gudgeon pins... APY, AMK and BAM S3 engines have 20mm pins... some A3 1.8t's have 19mm pins but I can't remember the engine codes off hand...

    yer i think the apu engine has 20mm but not 100% maybe someone might confirm that ..

    APU is an inline engine for an A4... you won't be able to use that block...

    sorry agu haha too many different models :)

    been told that agu out of an a3 / golf 1.8 20v has 20mm .. ??

    Yeah, I'm hosting that one now and it was the only one I could find. The original sheet that was there had a dead link, and it was extremely useful :(

    AUM is the only 1.8t transverse that has 19mm wrist pins that springs to mind.
