finally got the gmax set on the mk4 golf. ive had it on mk3 and mk2 (and various fords..) and have always been over the moon with it, but this is the first time on a 1J platform car

apart from -40mm being actually nearer to -80mm so ive had to shorten my drop links etc

the ride is markedly better than before (it was on 145k mile old suspension, but even that wasnt in bad condition at all, only had its mot etc the other week)

the ride quality feels like an oem car but down a b road its really well controlled, as usual with these cars you really dont expect to be going as fast as you are until you see the speedo.

its very low though. cant get your hand in the gap between the top of the front tyre and arch

rear is a touch higher though, so i might have to bring that down myself

    £250 very well spent

Iv still not decided on a suspension kit (02 A3 1.8 T) but leaning towards Bilstein B4 Sport Dampers / Shock Absorber Kit from dpm, can anyone recommend a set of springs to complement the B4s. This is my wifes car so dont want her complaining that its "Too Hard", err, well you know what I mean, lol.

    Thanks

The EIbach Pro's are a very good option for the B4's.
