Does anyone know anything about these aftermarket DRL headlamps? i bet that the beam patern is shockingly bad compared to the standard lights but i have the non projector standard headlamps and wonder if anyone has any pictures. Personally i think these are the best looking aftermarket ones.

Hi Russco, i bought a set off ebay couple weeks ago and wish i never bothered, waste of time, every time i flick on the full beam the bulb warning comes on and at night u might as well tape 2 torches onto your bonnet!

yeah, those are way overpriced and unless you plan on opening them up and swapping out the projector, the output is going to be ****.

It still bemuses me why they manufacturers of these headlights haven't copied the OEM style of the facelift S3 headlights... do they not realize the demand they would have for those?!

@ lifeboat crew, thanks for a good chuckle mate!

They would never perform like OEM ones though, these aftermarket chinese lamps have always been ****.

I remember when the manufacturers ripped off BMW's angel eye's and everyone went crazy for them. Same thing is happening now with the Audi style lamps, I keep seeing these cheap DRL's on VW's and Audi's etc and they look ridiculous.

If you want DRL's then do it properly, fit the OEM's or don't bother!

have to agree, there is something that isnt right about the OEM A3 LED DRLs (wow thats a lots of initials!)
think for me its the fact that they are on top of the cluster, but each to their own

Point taken guys. although i dont fancy changing my whole front end just for a set of lights :) if parts where alot cheaper then i would. Only reason im saying is becuase my headilghts are stonechipped to hell and theres no way of polishing them up

Just get a set of 8P1/8P2 OEM xenons then, as the guys above said, the A3 DRL's don't quite have the same impact as the A4, A5, A6, A8, TT and R8 ones :D

they really do, its just the yellowness of the bulb that is a bit of a pain, but easily fixable if you want to spend £30 on a set of PIAA's
wouldnt change my bi-xenons for love nor money

Audi have done well tho. The only reason ppl buy those Xenon LEDs is to make the car look more expensive. They don't give a stuff about the visibility/safety aspect. And for each unit they sell they make more profit. It's a brilliant marketing trick.

I'd definitely have them, even tho they aren't fantastic looking, for the very same reason.

Back on topic anyways, there's a set of Pro R8 headlamps that look identical to the OEM A4's. They're probably cheap tat too, but if I was going aftermarket those would be what I fit
