Oh well, I'm still not decided so we see how it goes.
This is the Revo air filter lid that should be out soon with improved air flow into the turbo inlet - the outlet is a larger diameter than standard so comes with a new Revo silicon hose ......

I still think i need a revo rob.. will I see much improvement over the CTS, itg panel and now the forge pipe? You think ?
yes was actually thinking the whole MQB thing hose and all, to keep it matching ill flog the forge afterwards if i buy it..Which part are you thinking about mate, the Revo front intake ? Every little bit to increase air flow into the turbo helps so yes plus it looks awesome ! ;o)

yup looks sexy, but more to take off when it goes in to audi
just not sure about the fitting as i read that many of you guys haven't used the bracket or didnt like the STD bolts
Have you tried in it the engine bay ? - in the pic the convoluted part of the OEM pipe looks compressed to its shortest length.
hey rob yes, it fits snug over the CTS TIP(all the way down to the valve bit!) but its the airbox end that its far too long for and the airbox is in the way of it going over the lip anymore (if that makes sense..
my picture shows the length and its the airbox end thats approx 2inches too long.. I'm reluctant to cut as it would be on the bend pretty much..
*edit.. id imagine on anything other than OEM airbox it will be fine ..
Don't take this the wrong way @zippster but have you had a play with it? Turned it around, twisted, all sorts?
ahhh sounds about right.. ill wait to see what forge say before going at it with a knife! thanks for the post!I copied aand pasted from VWROC forum of person that also installed the Forge inlet hose."
"I actually put it on a few weeks ago but been away. Good difference in size, no bad effect anyway,I can only imagine its doing its bit. I have fitted it to the R600 and the angle when fitted was a little tight so I trimmed around 2cm off the airbox end to make it fit that little bit better."
wow didnt think of that good shout! I'm going to try this later! If you cut it with a knife put the jubilee clip on it, tighten I little and use it as a guide.
well following the advise and guidance from you guys above its on! had to cut about 1.5inches off but it fits like a glove! cut was perfect until i had to undo the jubilee clip and move it around, but hey ho it will do until the replacement arrives
butt dunk tested and can conclude there is more induction noise and pretty sure boooooost comes up quicker.
FYI i have
removed the snow grate
ITG panel filter
CTS TIP
and now the Forge intake pipe and its a noticeable difference over OEM (confirmed last week when i reverted to stock when it went into audi)
bang for buck! View attachment 111887View attachment 111888

Good work mate - looks very smart indeed !
Get the Revo carbon front intake on there and the GFB DV+
Sounds like a plan. I will Be buying the full revo mqb thing after Chrimbo.. as I want that air box top
Stupid question ... all these mods to the turbo intake it can't have a detrimental effect right? Too much boost ?
