"has anyone removed wheel liners and had there front arches rolled to accomodate larger offset wheels?
any pictures would be great..."

that was 2 months ago......
just got the car back from Altered Images, a body shop south of edinburgh.
some of the best work I have seen, painted and fitted my OEM S4 body (he had to fabricate the bumper bar to get it to work), repainted mirror caps, rolled and pulled the arches front and back to accomodate an extra 20mm offset wheel and tyre (all done buy hand).

front wing, note original line of arch, needs the bumper tweaked slightly but the shocks had a couple of plastoc parts missing, next time.

front arch from underneath, no lip whatsoever and the arch has been moved out by approx 10-15mm

had to take drastic action as the B'stard calipers wouldn't fit behing ET35 with 10mm spacers! bring on the ET20's!!

Don't think there is much of a lip on mine as they are to be honest. Pretty sure my rims are ET35 8J 17" running 225/45/17 Continental Sport Contact 2 tyres

I've rolled the arches on mine, but wouldn't remove the inner arches as they keep crap from being flung into the engine bay.

I just used a round hammer handle. I was told that ideally you should use a heat gun on the inner arch to allow it to stretch over with the arch lip.

I still get bad rubbing on bumps though, but think that's because my wheels sit out too far. My tyres are torn to ****.

what wheels and tyres are you running?
did the paint crack?
any pics

cheers

Good old scaffold tube, thats what you need! Gentl does it, no heat and didn't crack the paint at all, not a major roll but enough or what i needed and then I just trimmed about half an inch off the plastic. Low on 19s, with 235/35/19. See my sig below, no rubbing at all now!

couldn't get a close up of the arch edge could you, what ET are you running?
cheers

im not running any liners on mine due to the stripped out lightness route im on.

the only down side for me is noise but but i dont have carpets or any sound deadening.

i easy now to clean the arches out and i dont get any crap going into the engine bay.

I'm running et50 with 15mm spacers, so a final offset of et35.

Tried taking some pics but to be honest as they're now rolled you can't really see anything, especially with the wheel on.

Have a little look here:

No wheel arch liners??

Welcome to the Red Terror.

cheers, I am actually thinking of the outer part of the wing being stretched/bent out as well.

no I actually want the outer lip rolled. off to see a "specialist" today

Sounds more like you want the arches "pulled" then. Def a proffesional job.

ah....."pulling" rather than "rolling".....sounds like a good saturday night!

It's been done on a silver 'widebody' which was posted here a while back. Can't remember the name of it, but it was something like Das88. Anyone know what i'm babbling on about?

Daseighty on audizine too, def a good looking motor. Love it on the Bentley Continental rims. Now I want some!

awesome work chaps, exactly what I was looking for.

Is hard to notice the difference until you see the arch liner pic. Looks like they did a good job though.

I am going to need my arches rolled properly and repainted at some point.

speak to altered images, seriously, when I went to pick up the car I really had to look as I was expecting big flared chav arches.
top work, looking forward to some wide driving.
just need to sort out the small issue of swapping out the hub carriers, fitting the brakes, flushing the brake fluid, rebuilding my spare block, running it in, welding up the exhaust manifold and fitting the new turbo!!!

should be done by monday!!
