I had talk with JBS who apparently used to be one of the largest Revo dealers in the UK...JBS created CC because they wanted to tweek the Revo map, Revo only allow tweeks within parameters and wouldnt allow this apparently...so CC was born, tis a much smoother map with power available through more of the rev range...although there seems to be hardly any difference in performance when driven side by side - tested by me and jimmeh in his revo'd S3 (several runs)

I got that from the chap that owns JBS....lets not forget that mapping firms are sales people though;) ....i chose CC cos i wanted a smooth map, this was explained whilst i was waiting

let the games begin. If you like a linear delivery (booo!) then go CC. If you like a punch in the back when you hit the loud pedal get REVO

I'd get a Jabba map, ive raced my mates Revo S3 and through the gears from standstill i've got the edge, not much but a bit... :)

The biggest difference we have noticed is if we are both cruising at 60-70mph and both put are foot down in 6th i pull away a lot quicker as he's still waiting for boost... A completely different drive to be honest, Revo can be very flat if your not in the right gear, its all all nothing...

smooth remaps are better in reality i know the kick in the back is good when you accelerate but you try feathering the throttle through a tight twisty section to adjust your the balance of the car with an agressive remap and i bet you struggle when its either on or off the power, thats the way i look at it anyway. the throttle maps were smoothed off a bit with my remap so at first i wasnt that impressed untill i noticed how fast the speedo was flying round.

TBh, in my area (southwest uk) theres very few places to get a remap...
Alan Jeffery offers superchip. Ap motors offer Unichip - piggyback..or Volkscraft offer REVO.
I dont want to travel 1000+miles to get a marginly smoother map.

As much as i appreciate your opinions, this thread was only to see if anyone else wanted 'In' on group discount.

revo has select options so adjustment is possible if you fancy upping it or downing it... CC is fixed code..

between the 2, cc is the smoother delivery, but revo has the punch low end, which on 4wd will hve some traction..

different codes, with different strengths and weaknesses..

price is just one differentiator, features is another.

    both work fine.

i will be getting a revo and i live near exeter, however im going to be on holiday until 11th oct. When i get back i need to sort out a haldex fault before i go for the map, so unfortunatly i dont think it will tie up. Do volkscraft have a rolling road? I have made the trip to TSR performance in bridgewater before for there rr. and they are a revo dealer. If i am paying for a remap i would like to have some dyno results to see what it would actually be making.

CC will do a home visit free of charge IIRC .....if i was doing again i think i would go for a custom map, although cost would be a decider depending on mods done

yup worth noting that you cant go to another map firm after Revo map as it reverts to a Revo standard map as opposed to standard factory.....there plenty of examples where people have had to have their ECU's rechipped because they couldnt over-ride the Revo...i suggest trying to drive each car if at all poss

REVO all the way, I have been in CC, AMD and MRC but revo pulls really nice from 3k rpm to 4k love it. and it has the edge when it comes to torque.
