Looks like the same kit as Prawns... was thinking of getting this kit too as Forge won't just sell me the bits... I do prefer the Forge's viton flaps to the ones in this kit but thankfully Forge sell those separately so I can at least see if I can use them with this kit when the time comes

Same as what ive got on the new engine and looked and felt decent enough quality

I did have little clearance issue (although prawn didn't) with the oil pump but that was easilly sorted with the dremmel

There's a chap on ClubGTI selling carboard templates for the Seat sport baffles. I've bought a set to make and fit.

The kit on ebay looks like the same one that kids producig on clubgti!

so whats better, steel flaps or the forge ones?

Same or as mine Andrew, they're from Nick C at AMD Essex. He welded them into a new sump for me as well, about £200 all in.

If you're able to do the welding yourself, then its epic value. If not then I'd probably go with the forge one.

Plenty of arguments online for steel gates vs rubber. Google it and make up your own mind I'd say. Both have pros and cons.
