Anyone know if the a3 runs same shockabsorbers as a mk5 golf if so any1 got a set?

    My missus is needing some new shocks for her golf anyone know if the a3 shocks are the same only thing i can find on the net is that theres two shaft diameters 49,6mm and 55mm front strut?

    Can anyone shed any light?

    its for a mk5 golf gt tdi 2.0 btw

    Yes they are the same fitment. You'll need the 55mm ones. I have a standard set for sale that have covered 55k miles when i removed them and fitted coilovers. They are off of my 2004 A3 2.0TDI. PM me if you are interested mate and I'll give you some details.
