Anyone into 1/5 scale

I've got a 1/8 ftx buggy. So I suppose the answer is no but any scale rc is good fun.

Raced 1/5 years ago, had FG/Lautherbacker/RS5 over the years. Was great fun and miss the sport but the costs were getting silly, could go through over £100 in tyres in a single BRCA weekend + traveling expenses etc. Then there was the cost of the cars, top of the range model was over £2000 then you needed all the tuned engines, diff's, clutches, servo's and radio gear etc. Also did the 1/6 off road which again great fun and a little cheaper.

Are you looking at car park bashing or racing?

I've got a fg top of the range that I've just finished building and also have a fg hummer . The parts are mega expensive . Just messing about in car parks at the moment

You should try racing them. I'm going to get another but just to sit on a shelf. Where are you getting your parts from? I used to buy direct from these guys but as the euro is againts us prices may not be much different that the uk http://rc-car-online.de/shop/ Also if you what a lot more power out of the engine then oddified realy known there stuff, I ran their engines for years http://oddified.com/

Are you running a 23 or 26cc engine.

Just incase anyone wonders why these cars cost so much.
