Maybe worth going to more reputable company before letting someone tinker with your motor. AmD, Revo, Superchips.

They're only gonna charge £100. It does seem stupidly cheap, saw them on ebay. They seem seem to know what they're talking about though. Not sure now..............

If it's too good to be true, then it is. £100 sounds to cheap and will probably wreck your engine or ecu.

Dont do it. Someone else on here won a remap for £150 or so and he ended up with no car for a few weeks as he had a new ecu sorted out for him. I am sure he will be along to comment, but I would stay well clear. Go to someone like Jabba or AMD as they will make sure your car is set up properly rather than someone with a laptop arriving at your house and doing it on your drive.
Arent these the same people who sell a laptop with all the bits for £800 and charge you £50 per program? If so then stay clear.
When mine was remapped the timing was adjusted twice as it ran too lean and then too rich. These places do not do that for you as far as I am aware so could be doing your car more harm than good. Rant over.

Yeah, I've heard of them, but only from the first Ebay ad I saw that one of their UK tuners had placed.
Their web-site puts a lot of emphasis on tailer-made tuning, which seems to be developed in Germany.
If I lived closer to the smoke, they would certainly get my 100 quid.
If you decide to give them a go, let me know. Might be worth a day trip from the frozen north lands.

The only wierd thing is, price on the SSD site is £250 for an Audi (sort of what you'd expect) but £100 via Ebay, but they operate out of the same address as far as I can tell. Maybe they're trying to get a foothold in the market?

They've turned out to not be very helpful anyway. They initially mailed saying their £200 re map was much better and when i mailed back saying all i wanted was the £100 one they went a bit flaky saying that they'd charge me £100 call out and not the £30 as quoted. I then said i would travel to them and i haven't heard from them since, nice bunch.......:sadlike:
