When I'm cruising along the car feels like its got a slightly irregular, pulsing heartbeat! Feels very strange and not very nice, on boost it seems ok still boosting to 24psi and holding -24 on vac. Theres no codes on vcds and I very recently changed the fuel filter to see if that caused it. Any ideas welcome!

No boost leaks, all good in the hood. 24Psi has been ok for 18 months now, its been suggested my fuel pump is dying, is there any reliable tests for this?
Your fuel pump is probably dieting from trying to supply 24psi haha.

Jardo is right though, 24psi is a bit high for a K04. They just tend to produce loads more heat then anything over 21ish. I'd suggest getting a new fuel pump if you know it's dieing. Are you running stock injectors and a 3 bar FPR?
Revo baby, all about boost! Yeah its not ideal,keep finding things to fix before going to rtech though. Its on a standard 3bar fpr, i wouldn't let anybody put a 4 bar fpr on my car. Anything else that could cause this before I go and buy a new pump?
