Things like that - they appear to be shaped to fit the dash but for what I know it could look awful in the dash and have the reliability of a K series rover!

Yeah by reports of a few they're crap & thats not because I supply/fit the proper ones, they reported being buggy with constant issues, reboots etc.

Your choice but for the extra dough, why not buy peace of mind.
