obviously in an A3.. just wondered if anyone has done this.. or know how easy it is?

cheers.

Sorry what do you mean a newer digital one? I thought pre and post facelift cars have analogue gauges..?

You mean change from normal air-con to climtae control?

Hideously complicated if that's what you were meaning.

Sorry.. you know on the A3s you have 3 dials to adjust the heat, fan level and direction where it comes out (i forget technical terms sorry) .. if you want to change it to the two screen digital climate control...?? Hope this makes sense..

Digital temp control is part of the air-con system. Yes you can retro fit the air con with climate, but it is a very large job. You need to fit the compressor with brackets to the engine, condensing rad with pipes, acumulator and pipes, electronic interior air direction flaps and motors, relays, wiring, cabin temp sensors and probably a bunch of other stuff.

This is one of those conversions where it is easier sell your current car and buy one with air con, or buy a complete smashed donor car and swap the whole kit over.
