anybody got any tips for changing clutch?

    i have looked at a how to guide on it but anybody got any other tips on the best way to do it on a 1.8t quattro?

    I would strip the front off and remove the engine as its much easier, you could also use it as an excuse to check the oil pump and pick up etc.

    It can be done dropping the box , it is heavy and remember most of the time you laying on your back

    i should be able to get it on a ramp.i need to do both front c/v boots and exhaust manifold gaskets too so looks like plenty work for me to be doing some weekend.

    A mate to help catch it on the off and help keep it straight when re fitting.

    I would also keep the dts bar thing fitted to the car until the gearbox is fully undone as it will help support it.

    New flywheel bolts also.
