    hi folks can anyone shed some light on these codes

    in the abs module:

    18256 - please check DTC memory of engine controller
    p1848 - 35 - 00 - -
    65535 - internal control module memory error
    00-00 - -

    and on the engine module: as mentioned above to check

    18057 - powertrain data bus : missing messege from abs controller
    p1649 - 008 - implassible signal - intermittent

    Doubt that anyone could shed some real light on this unless you post a complete scan. We don't even know which car you are talking about...

    Hey, I've got a 65535 error on my ABS too. Check the post BBA reman say my ABS module is fine in the B5 forum.

    I think it's something to do with the ability of the control module to retain info, I've had the module out to BBA reman twice and they can't find anything wrong with it which leads me to suspect there's a 'loom problem. I've also changed the sensor around and I'm getting an error for the both rear sensors. I'm due to replace them, I'll update the post in the B5 forum.
