VCDS-Lite Version: Release 1.1
Friday, 01 June 2012, 21:35:09:5967
Control Module Part Number: 8N0 907 379 E
Component and/or Version: ESP 20 CAN V005
Software Coding: 18448
Work Shop Code: WSC 01236
VCID: 3E0FAAB42979
2 Faults Found:
00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
62-00 - No or Incorrect Adjustment
00285 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Front Right (G45)
35-10 - - - Intermittent

Check the sensor isnt clogged with dust or crap, also check its connector isnt damaged or crapped up.

Angle sensor may need recalibrating or its got a fault.

VCDS with basic setting access & measuring blocks will help with both of these issues.

Cheers guys. Cleared the warning light for the ESP caused by the steering angle sensor.

If anyone needs to to do this, the instructions are:
Prerequisites:

Start the vehicle.
Turn the steering wheel one turn to the right and one turn to the left.
Drive in a short distance straight line on a level surface at a speed not higher than 20 km/h.
If the steering wheel is straight during the test drive then stop the vehicle with the wheels pointed straight.
Ensure that the steering wheel is not moved again.
Keep the engine running and do not switch off the ignition.
System voltage at least 12.0 V.
