3rd time in the garage in 2 weeks of owning this damn car. Sorry for rant.

Now the mirror has dropped off the windscreen. Anyone know how to fix it in place? Cant figure out if something is busted.

    thanks

Possibly the windscreen has been replaced recently? The mirror, as far as I know, is bonded (glued) to the glass, so with the right product it should be easy to glue it back on. Good luck.

Is it an auto dimming version with a sensor on the facing side or hand dimming via the lever?

Is the metal baseplate still attached to the windscreen?

Bracket bonded to screen from factory. Think the mirror comes off with a quarter turn.
Audi should be able to re-bond the bracket on to the screen, then clip the miirror on.

Yeah its a quarter turn, but can be a pita tbh with the claw like attaching parts, ideally needs bonding inside the garage so its warmer, as this time of year may be an issue to adhere well.
