Just back from the dealer and signing all the paperwork so I can take delivery of my C7 Avant on Friday.

Car is a 2.0TDi SE in Ice Silver with AMI as the only option. Saw it whilst at the dealer and it looks fantastic Hadn't really planned to buy a new car but was invited to a Closed Event a couple of weekends ago and thought I would go along and see what was on offer. Came away with this car for about £2 a month more than I am paying on the current car (2009 2.0 TDie Avant) with an Audi Finance PCP so seemed silly not to change. They sourced a car from another dealer's allocation, although this will mean that AMI will have to be fitted by the dealer when the kit arrives in a week or so.

    Roll on Friday morning.

Edinburgh Audi offered me £6000 on my 2004 Final Edition (including £2000 trade in bonus).

They also offered £4500 dealer contribution against a brand new s line multitronic in white. The rest of it was financed over 3 or 4 years PCP with a final payment. Very tempted to go for it, but then my EGR valve disintegrated and that was that!

Definitely planning to treat myself next year though!

Sounds a good deal. My A6 is also on a PCP and my monthly payments are the same as the A4 I used to have :)

Currently if you go with Audi's PCP deal then there is a dealer/Audi contribution of £4250 and the notional APR is 6.9%. In the past my experience has been that the dealer is reluctant to offer any additional discount on top of this (if you buying at the bottom of the range) as the contribution is already eating into their margin. However when I went to the Customer Event there were definitely deals to be done so if your dealer invites you to one it is worth going along.

The deal I was offered last month has now improved to £5200 off the list price of a 2.0 SE TDI Avant Multitronic in Quartz Grey metallic, plus £6500 for my 2004 A6 Avant Final Edition. Having just spent £1900 on a replacement EGR valve, new cylinder head gasket, timing belt (etc), and the annual inspection service, they said they wanted to "sweeten the deal" to compensate.

Taking one out on Saturday and likely signing on the dotted line... ;-)
