Just thought I would post under a fresh topic to help others...if it does.

Anyway, thanks to MattS3 for pointing me in the right direction on his post with regards to the Phatnoise off ebay, £130 bargain price but I did get stung for import duties. They wouldn't deliver until I paid which was about £25. Still a bargain in my eyes.

Bought the power adapter as well before the unit arrived, nothing worse than getting something and not being able to use it. I left mine running at 12v and everythings fine.

Fitted the Phatnoise in place of the changer in the boot, removed the cage and changer and tucked the Phatnoise tight in the corner near the rear light. Fit is snug but allows the door cover to close easily, no cutting required and the cartridge is pointing outwarsd so easy to change. I have fixed it onto the sub using heavy duty velcro and everything appears fine for now. Very happy that it fits.

Just the final point for anyone interested, I am using the Phatmac software on my Apple iMac as opposed to the windows software and it is excellent. No problems to date. 2000 songs uploaded onto the unit and easy syncing of the playlists.

A long winded post but I just thought it may help someone else wondering where to fit the thing and the software issue.

    Matt

    Nice one!

Mine should be here tomorrow! I got stung £35 import tax but as you say its still really cheap!

Had the cable wired in to the back of my head unit on sat by The911C and xvw (cheers again guys!), so its just a case of plug and go now!

Looking forward to putting on some tunes!

MattS3 put the best list together on his thread, thats the one I followed and it worked a treat. The Phatnoise is from an American dealer and the transromer came from Maplins.

Credit must go to MattS3 for the info.
