Hi all. After thinking all has been well with the car for a couple of months, it has once again thrown a wobbler and given me the CIL light. Ran Vagcom and it is showing this.

    Address 01 -------------------------------------------------------
    Controller: 06A 906 032 FC
    Component: 1.8L R4/5VT 0002
    Coding: 11500
    Shop #: WSC 06435
    WAUZZZ8LZ1A087100 AUZ7Z0Y1760712
    2 Faults Found:
17705 - Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve (check D.V.!)
    P1297 - 35-00 - -
17545 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs

Now I know that the 17545 error is system running rich and I have got a dodgy thermostat at the moment(Usual sitting about 70 degrees trick) which a haven't got round to changing yet. The DV was replaced 3 months ago and I cant find any splits so I dont know why this is showing as faulty.
My guess is that the thermostat is the culprit for the rich running but if anyone has had a similar problem then I would appreciate any feedback. Also could the 2 faults be related? I have cleared the codes for now and the light is out but time will tell I suppose. In the meantime I really must get round to the dreaded thermostat job!
    Look forward to any advice.
    Cheers

PS: Find someone with a full version of Vag-Com as you might be getting more errors than the shareware version will show.

Well, what I meant was, get an official VagCom dongle from Ross-Tech, which will activate the latest version of VagCom for you. http://www.ross-tech.com/

Hi there. The MAF is virtually brand new and as I've said the DV is virtually new aswell. I suppose The next thing would be to check closer for any hose splits.
