With all due respect Issam, I believe that is EXACTLY what he is doing, and I am sure that others would agree. There is absolutely no doubt that there is a flaw in the material choice with these manifolds, and you have even accepted that yourself. Until this has been resolved, in my opinion, they should be taken off sale until the revised material version is available, and has been proven.
These manifolds are fantastic, and not one person is saying otherwise (even me, given all the grief). It had so many benefits for my setup as a whole, lowered EGTs, extra top end flow, and the dyno has proven what gains are to be had beyond any doubt whatsoever.
I am 110% keen to get a revised model fitted, and working, to prove both it's engine enhancement capabilities, as well as it's longevity.
Ultimately, it's me that had had to foot a £200 bill for parts to fit, and then remove, the item in question. That leaves me £200 out of pocket at the most expensive time of year. OK, I accept that this is something I have to live with, but I also had to take 2 days of work to get my car roadworthy once more - which, as you can imagine, was also exceptionally frustrating, as this is time that could both have been spent better elsewhere, and was unexpected.
I am happy with the situation, as long as what has been promised is delivered. I have no doubt that it will be, and I am thoroughly looking forward to recieving the new varient of the 034 manifold (although it will be another £100 in parts to fit it - again, I accept that) so that it can be proven to be the great product it should have been in the first place, and has the potential to be.
If this gets given the thumbs up here, on this thread, and the SCN one, then you are going to sell a LOT. At the moment, people are holding back because of the past experiences. And that, with the JBS K04 High Flow manifold being VERY close to release, is not a good thing.
Sorry but undermining me as an 034 dealer/distributor for UK , telling my supplier I am doing a poor job , telling my customers I am doing a crappy job and pretty much dragging my name through the mud isnt "exactly waht he is doing". You are my customer , not Bill's.
Bill's job begins when he opens your bonnet and ends when he closes it. Whatever problems / faults he has with our products he can take up with us....not publicize it on the forums. This entire scenario has left a very sour taste in my mouth.
I am sorry you were out of pocket, I truly am , thats why I wanted you to try the coated manifold. I would have happily paid to have a shop (any other than badger5) install it for you. If you are more than willing to do this to help build back confidence in the product then send me an email.
As discussed previously, I simply don't have the confidence in the manifold batch 1 to warrant that happening I'm afraid, coated or otherwise. However, I do appreciate the offer.
I will, as agreed, await the revised batch of manifolds with the higher grade material casting.
Whilst I can sympathise that it has left a sour taste in your mouth, I don't believe that this is fully unfair. The point of forums such as these is to help each other out, with product testing, reviews and the like. I have voiced my opinions on my experiences so far, as has Bill.
I would like to go further that this also and request that you not turn my thread which is designed to be a wealth of information for people who are looking at K04 Hybrid installations, into a public slagging match. I happen to have a very high regard for both Bill, and his level of customer service. He has been nothing but helpful to me with this project, and has an excellent reputation both on here, and SCN as you well know. I would not consider taking my car elsewhere. Ever.

A Coated manifold such as this FAILED COATED unit Issam?
That coating does'nt seem to have fixed the cracking problem... which it never will, when the substrate onto which its applied in fundermentally flawed and incorrect for the application.
this would also be the 'other' cracked manifold you and 034 still claim you know nothing about, despite having had a replacement sent to the owner? This failure predating Wellys supply of manifold also in uncoated form..Very curious...
If you were truely sorry for Welly, you would supply him the parts to facilitate the fitment of the replacement.
fitment of this was by Welly, not by Badger5.. I mapped and dyno'd the car, Welly assembled it himself, in his time @ his expence.... Twice so far!

YOUR customers, and definition of YOUR CUSTOMERS is 034/INA having supplied them, and corresponded with them in said supply
Where do you think the picture came from? YOUR customer.
Ask yourself why he would have gone out of his way to (a) contact me, or (b) send me pictures and other supporting correspondance which explains the trail of events and timeline in which this was all occuring.
You need to focus your energy on rectifying the defective manifolds and supplying the customers who bought them with something which is suitable for the duty.
NOW: I have nothing more to say on this at this time...

the trigger for this refreshed post, is the contact made to me yesterday and information/picture of the other failed manifold sent to me.
this shows another failed manifold. A failure which has previously been denied to have been known about. this is the crux of the matter Issam.
Perhaps a lapse of memory to have forgotten about this one.
FACTS of this..
the existing manifolds made from the same cast lot, have issues.
a new version material is said to be in process to address the version 1 failings.
date for this remaining TBC
existing customers of these "will be looked after" by INA/-034 where they suffer a failure.
Nothing Slanderous, and nothing that has been said that is'nt backed up with facts.. (and I have only posted up the picture, and not the email chain which supports it... as it only makes things look worse for you)
(i have more than enough correspondance/evidence supporting many things Issam... so be warned, this will be used to substantiate everything said if required.)

I have permission from the owner of the other failed unit to publish the email exchange which confirms exactly who supplied who with what and when, and replacement etc etc etc, but, I am not posting it... It merely fuels the fire and will further insense Issam. I have received enough threats off him to last me a while..

The recitifying of the product and looking after the customer is the important aspect here.
Just be open and honest FFS, engage with the customers, be open about the tests and their results.
This thread is off track by a mile, my fault (soz welly), but the truth needs to be known, and customers can make their own minds up at the end of the day based on facts. Informed decision for them after that.

Only just read this thread. But welly, im glad your doing the thread and others can learn from it. Maybe this will give a definative guide of exactly whats involved when going down the hybrid route. I would quite like to go down this route at some point, but dont think I could handle some of the grief you seem to have had.
Respect to Bill for having the kahuna's to come forward and make an honest review on a product - I know many companies that would have happily fitted parts from manufacturers that are known to them to be prone to failure, only for the same company to then charge the customer for fitting a replacement making a few bob in the process.
In fairness, Bill could have left this as an issue for Welly to deal with and not tested or provided any feedback to the forum users here - he took an honest approach and made his opinion known (knowing full well that the supplier will be unhappy at the negative review). It's those respectable companies that regularly have positive feedback from people that are worth their weight in gold - too few and far between IMO.
Welly is a star in his own right , that lad is the self appointed guinea-pig of this forum. I hope he carries on and in the same fashion as his posts are not only full of useful information but added with a large dollop of wit and humour - something which can be lacking in many other forums.
I'll now sit back, chew my popcorn and wait to see what resolution INA offer. They have the choice to redeem themselves and win back their customers from 'across the pond', or sit back and do nothing..... only time will tell.

We allready told customers (welly) that we would take care of them. Welly is OUR customer, and this was 3 weeks ago. What you are posting has no belonging on this forum as it is DEAD news. You were asked politely to retract whatever information you posted and you did not.
You can keep whatever posts between Welly , Bill & myself on this forum.

I do not see how it is incorrect if the information is backed up, as they say a picture is worth a thousand words.
This thread is an information thread on the trials and tribulations of building a hybrid turbo'd car and as such we are trying to stop any more of our members having similar issues whatever they be.
How is that wrong?

If things are true... they should be posted to highlight what problems there are with such a build,
I for one would want to know what can happen and the costly work needed to correct it
That is all fine and I dont have an issue with that but I do not see what anything BEYOND Welly ---> Bill ----> INA/034 has to do with this thread? As a moderator I would imagine you would want less drama on your forum not more.
Surley all of the included information is pertinent to the failure of the parts that have so far cost Welly time in removing and refitting, Bill time by attemtping to port and flow an OEM manifold to help Welly out, add to that the map tweaks and the logsging sessions, surely Bills comments have a place in this thread?
