Ive been meaning to post this but kept on forgetting..
well... I want to know if anyone is having same problem as me.
When I drive my car at high revs and change gear, sometimes I get high rev soon as I clutch in to change gear, its like Ive kept my foot on the accelerator whilst clutching in and changing gear..

Its like Ill be driving, Ill be in 3rd gear, Ill pull out in 3rd to overtake then as Im hitting say 5000 - 5500 revs I clutch in to change gear but it sounds like I cant drive and have kept my foot on the accelerator between gear change... Gives off a loud Over rev and with my exhaust being loud is embarrising sometimes. It stops me from putting my foot down sometimes. Doesnt even have to be that high in revs, it just does it when it wants 8 out of 10 times though :aggressive:

Ive been naughty before and have gave it a little led foot before its properly warmed up and it doesnt really do it, It seems its only when its hot.

If I take that little extra time between gear changes then it doesnt do it as bad but godd damn thats boring and makes it sound even worse that you cant find the next gear.

Has anyone had or got same probs and what do you reckon is causing this?

Someone has said if I had a decent filter it will breathe more easy..:wtf::confused:...Exactly. Im stuck with this one, come on Folks, help me out before I grow hair to pull it out:keule:

Sounds to me like an auto box may solve it if that manual is causing you so many problems..................lol................have you tried letting anyone else drive it just incase its you.???? Oh and you could give Motability a call and see if they have anything with a column shift.:blow:

Cheers Doc, Ill take them suggestions on Board!

Ill have to pick my Candidate Wisely to drive my car but yes worth a go. Im pretty sure I know how to drive though.

Is that referring to the Throttle?? Its a Sensor apparently.

This is another thing I was thinking of, Could I have a dodgy sensor??Some sort of Delayed thingy..

Is it cable or DBW?

Throttle cable or drive by wire.
You could clean and reset the throttle body.

 First I need to find out which one it is then Surely someone or something on here can tell me what and where to how to do on what when...Ill give anything a try regarding this because its really ******* me off lately. One good thing I suppose is it stops you from giving your motor a Hard time but you gotta give it some sometimes though eh!

Its worth doing whichever one you have.
Take the inlet pipe off, unplug the throttle switch thingy, give the TB a good clean with carb cleaner. After its all clean and dry put your key in and turn ign on(lights) but dont start the engine then wait for a couple of mins. The throttle will make some noise for abit, once its finished start engine.Easy.Might not help but its worth a try.

:thumbsup:Nice one James, Like I said, Ill try anything...

Ill give that a go one night after work this week. Never know...

pmsl....well maybe not then.

Would my Clutch Switch give me these problems?? Just been reading some Old threads and few of them say they changed theirs and it made their revs drop quicker rather than Stick. Maybe another option after the carb cleaner.

Its going in to my Specialist next week for check and few adjustments so Ill be getting him on the case if I cant find it myself.
