Oh yeh, had a quick touch up on the rims aswel, lok loads better;
Looking good mate!!
Nice 1 Nilz
Dodged in & out the rain today todo a little mod, ten minutes todo,another 20mins in B&Q finding the grommet.
Buy some of these;
To make it look like this,pretty cool don't ya think;
If anyone else wants a grommet pm me ya name & address as I have another 8,saving 1 just on case lol.
Looking great with those BBS alloys mate,love black alloys and i dont rule out mine going black at some point!
It looks great m8. I like the clean look but with where I live couldn't do without back wiper. So what next on ur list?
Cheers wolf,I have defo decided when the BBS get restored they are staying black, with polished or chromed outer edges
Haha yeah won't work very well with your country lanes, mostly motorway miles for me so no worries there, never liked using em anyway, think it makes ya car look more dirty lol
Done the pollen filter and fuel filter today,went to do temp sensor but I had ordered the wrong 1typical me lol,get another 1 Monday.
Also whilst trying to find an annoying rattle the boot I found this under the plastic tray surrounding the spare wheel
I was going to ask if anyone knew what it was but it's pretty self explanatory. What I don't know is, is the meant to be 2 of these?
You need one for each light if your thinking of fitting them mate.
That's what I thought jim,had good look round the engine bay and couldn't find another 1, never had any intention of outing hid kit on so no danger
Awesome weather today so got the brakes of and got the paint out;
Sorry about the mining wheels lol
Rears only had a quick once over,hate the tiny rear brakes so will do a proper on job when I up grade
Rear bumper should be on route tomorrow,3.5polished slash back pipes should also be on route,parking sensors arrived today,of to paint then happy days lol
Good to see your happy Adam. Look forward to seeing your work lol. x
Only when she is finished lol
Another little job done today, can not wait get me pipes on now, sensors work a treat aswel, oh yeh. Sorry she needs a good wash,lol
Had a few things arrive on the post today,bring on the weekend;
Pair if 85mm slash backs
And gotta get these of to the paint shop;
If your gonna redo the wheels, skip the polished edges, they only corrode away to fk in about 12 minutes.
Do them in a dark grey/anthracite/shadow chrome sort of color rather than black. With black you lose all the detail and they just look like a blob. A dark metallic grey keeps the same overall feel, but means you can actually make out the detail on the wheel!
I'd also warn against painting the grille surround. The chrome is very hard, and is very difficult to get paint to adhere to well. The result is that it chips off easily and in 6 months the grille looks horrible. Either buy a factory black one, or vinyl wrap the surround.
I agree with vinyl wrapping the surround. I got chrome bits on my old car painted and they start chipping fairly quickly with being on the front of the car with stones etc getting chucked up off the road.

Looking good! I agree about not polishing the rims, mine lasted six months before the lacquer started to turn white from a stone chip. Did u drill and fit the sensors m8? Just wondering how hard it is to do.
Nice1 aragorn, goin have the outer edges brush chrome and the insides,the centers are goin be tge same as me car with more metallic in,give em tha bit of sparkle.
Grills have been dropped of today,me sprayer did say he was goin give it plenty of coates. But we will see.
I an keeping the chrome on the grills though as I am trying not to go to dark,also do like a bit of bling.
Cheers bud,no got me sprayer todo them,i would of been quite happy todo it though, as they are marked on the side, so ya can't go wrong really.
Eventually got me de-cat pipe on today,bit mot of a whistle. But that's about it.
Also got me tailpipes on,what do you think?
Had to get Dan the man in the shot best welder you will ever know!
The finished job,just for looks,but look damn good lol
Oh yeh nearly forgot,picked me wiring harness up today.
2007 concert,amazing how good this sounds compared to the old single din,wow,crystal clear and really nice bass
You have been busy Adam. x
Hahaha a nice productive day Sandra lol. She is getting there
Tailpipes are the perfect size for the cutouts mate they loo good.
Which head unit is that then?
Looking good! Your not hanging about.
yeh loving the pipes, perfect fit !!
Its the concert form an 2007 B7, sounds unreal compared to the original Hu!!
Funds are now slowley been drained, wont be much happening for a while now dude, got bits in spray shop but thats about it !!
Is it a 6 disc unit rather than the single too, I might have a look into one. I've heard a few people complain about the stereo in these, but mine sounds good?
I take it you need a double din cage to fit it too?
Oh yes,and it's about a 2hr job,plus you need to trim ya climate.
No its a single CD mp3, i dont think you can put more than 1 in.
The sound quality is so much better than the single din,really picks out every bit of the tune.
Concert 2+ unit is single CD MP3 player.
Symphony 2+ unit has the integral 6-CD changer MP3 player.
A concert2+ it is then lol, nice 1 Alex would never have thought about it with out sowing me your conversion!
Couldn't resist today as I passed canal side body shop in wigan to pick up me nice color coded upper and lower grills,fitted and looking good
They look better, put the quattro badge back in the right place though!
That's where it has always been
Was lower down before paint looking at your pics mate
Yes, in the first pic it's on the second slat up from the bottom (factory position), but in the after pics it's on the third slat up.
