Just a quick question... Is it wise to use 5W-30 AMSOiL in an A3 1999 1.8T taking into consideration the mileage 124K?
It conforms to the VW 500.00, 501.01 and 505.00 standards. It does seem rather watery though.

personally I'd only use 10w/40 because you shouldn't use as much and with the engine being well run-in I would have thought a slightly more viscose oil would be best........although I will stand corrected if anyone knows better!

Know what you're saying.. I've got 10 liters of the stuff sat in my shed right now. Just not sure if it will do some serious damage useing it. Read several places that this is the stuff to use but after seeing how watery it is I'm not so sure.
