Have just ordered a B8 A4 Avant with AMI and been told that I need to buy an additional cable for £30 to use it!
It would seem that weather you spent 30k or 70k you’ve still gota buy one! Unbelievable!

Can anyone tell me about the cable?
Is it required to connect an ipod or just for usb drive??

Has anyone tried making there own based on the audi one yet?
It must be a generic cable - Isn’t it?
There must be an aftermarket one about by now?

s8craig – Could this be a new venture?

It's a cable unique to the AMI that comes in 4 types, Ipod, USB -A, USB-B mini and Aux in.

So that is why you do not get the cable supplied.

I always supply the cable with all my installs. But I would charge £30 if anyone wanted a cable from me.

    Thanks craig.

If you could source and supply at a little less than the audi price i'm sure
you'd have a lot of orders!

While you're here can you (or anyone esle) tell me if the Samsung i900 Omnia is fully compatable with the Audi BT?
