Do Revo actually do DSG remap for the 2010 S3, what year is your S3? if it is 2010, I would look into hard and deep.

I want to remap my DSG even on stage one, for one reason, to stop the box kicking down when in M mode, really bugs me.

I will double check later Brett but i have never noticed. It changes down so you dont stop in 6th but it dosnt kick down. If i am doing 30mph in 6th you have to knock it down on the paddles to pull if you come to a hill for example.

Are you sure you are actually in true manual mode.... i.e. have you actually moved the gearstick to the side. Or have you just started to use the paddles which enables temporary manual mode?

EDIT: reading up on it it does appear that kickdown (pressing accelerator all the way down to the kickdown button) does cause the engine to change down to a lower gear, even when in manual mode.
I've never tried this in mine but will give it a go.

Paddy - are you 100% sure yours doesn't do this? Maybe a feature of newer DSG boxes/software??

hope you got your issues sorted with the new plugs paddy

stage 2+ is what it's going for, possible future stage 3 but after all the problems people seem to have with the REVO map im a bit concerned thats why i am looking at doing AMD's map but i just can't decide

Why not MTM? it is worth a look, though cost more, but you can get a deal, and I know they do DSG remaps as well, though not sure they are MTM remaps.
I might be wrong, but I tend to feel that MTM have the ability to work the closest with Audi, and their Racing branch, so possible the best all round match for Audi Cars.

Hi guys, I am in SA and none of the other tuners here offer the sps or anything similar for that matter so if you take your car to the dealer then they dont feel the butt dyno of the vehicle possibly saving your motorplan.

I am extremely happy with the revo service and the performance...

    just my view...

My advice would be to go with whatever AMD advise for your car......they know of any likely issues with Revo and current spec S3s,and if you make them aware of whatever plans you have for the car,I am sure they will offer you the right remap.
Obviously my car is an 08,and modified to hell and back, but as a long time AMD customer,I do know that they are completely trustworthy, and only offer good advice,as opposed to the most expensive advice.

Im running AMD software and really cant fault it. A good friend of mine knows the bloke who writes the maps for AMD. My friend is also a Master Tech for Audi and really does rate their software. I really think their work is brilliant! Its very punchy and does drive really well. Also if your ever going to go down the uprated fuel pump option, which i am in the neer future, their pump and software is considerably cheeper!

Paddy, yours will kick down, like all DSG's in M mode. You need to press harder and go through the kick down switch. I've got driving in M mode down to a tee now, just need to go 99% throttle not 100%! :)

Silky-S3, I agree, I also tried it tonight, in D mode it kicks down if you just press further down the throttle, or quickly press it down with out going into the kick down switch, in M you can press quickly down to almost the switch, and will hold the gear but really floor it hard and it will kick down to what ever gear it can get to, so even 6th to 2nd if it is in the rev range.

I think its very good behavior, imagine droping 4 gears using paddles... nightmare!
