Hi, have worked out my alternator belt tensioner is wobbling like mad and have traced it down to the alternator pulley, its got a spragg clutch in it and has obviously given up.

Have ordered a new genuine one at £71 from TPS. Question is can this be done on the car, it looks a tight fit, if the alternator needs to come out do i need to remove the coolant pipe that runs above and just infront of it or can it be jiggled about to get it out. I also need 2 special tools, a kind of torx bit to hold the shaft still and a multi splined tool to remove the pulley. Where is the best place for these.

If anyone has done this job on a BEX engine please could you give me some pointers. Ta.
