    I've noted a fair few mentions of double DIN, but am wondering just what it is?

    Generally speaking, when you go out and buy a stereo of some sort, say like a Pioneer or Kenwood headunit, they require a single din slot. A double DIN slot is exactly what it says, double the size of a single din, usually for applications like seperate CD and tape players or 7" screens etc...
