Alpine A3?

Hi,

I've got a '99 model A3 1.6 and want to upgrade all four of my speakers... I've been recommended the Alpine SPX F137A components up front and the SPR174A coaxs in the back... Firstly has anyone tried this combo (with a F540 amp) and what did they think... Also... will the SPRs fit where the old rears are without too much messing around?

Sounds a good combination.
You will need adapter rings for all 4 speakers as Audi use a bizarre 3 post mounting on the door cards and rears. Best bet is to make your own from MDF, or you can buy them from good ICE retailers.
You can also mount the amp behind the rear speaker panel, as there is plenty of room behind them.
