    Cheers mate.
It's pleasing to see these great cars getting repaired properly and Audi now treating their owners fairly. Well here in the UK and U.S anyway...

Booked in at Audi for consumption test next week, seems the test has changed, they will do a 'mini' test and only need the car half a day?? anyone have further details? Been monitoring my consumption...even driving very steadily...I'm using 1L/200 miles!....worst was 1L/160 miles! shocking.

Wouldn't be worth bore scoping as I doubt you will see any scoring mate. Just plenty of oil residue.. That will be around the piston area further down in the engine. If on doing the rebuild though the bores are scored then Audi will have to decide on whether to change the block. It's highly unlikely it's that bad though!
Is the car emitting a lot of white smoke? When my car was misfiring it was smoking bad and eventually it stopped a cylinder running so it was only running on three. Sounded like a tractor and the emission control light was flashing with EPC light on. Spark plug 2 was covered in oil and threw up fault code P0302.
May be worth having a look at the plugs. Particularly spark plug 2. (Second in from the front of the car). Easy to do, just requires a 14mm spark plug socket. Plenty of vids on you tube..

Take a read through my sticky thread on the TFSI Oil Problem in the A4 B8 forum mate. Lots of information there..
It could hinge on how Audi Switzerland are dealing with this known issue!

    Model: A5
    Year: 2011
    Engine : 1.8 TFSI
    Mileage : 60,000
    Code CDHB
Oil Consumption 1.41 litres per 1000 km
Current status : Although serviced by Audi to July 2014, the last 2 long life services I did my self. Although this is logged and the receipts show the correct dates and parts, Audi claim this is no proof that they were used. (I assume they think I threw them away), and will not make any contribution towards repairs.

History: Part Audi and part independent garage
Oil Consumption 1ltr per: approx 1ltr per 600 miles but only just started monitoring
Current Status: Needing to do some reading on the issue. Is there a reference thread I can read with Audi responsibilities? What is 'the oil consumption test'?
