Alarm Sound?

Having only had the car 3 days i've never heard the alarm.

nor had the previous owner.

I parked it in a "dodgey" area last night. and was in a property and could hear an alarm that sounded like a car horn continuosly being pressed.

would i be right in thinking this could be mine?

Nope.

Easiest way to test it is sit in the car, arm the alarm with your key and flap your arms around to trigger it...

Car horn alarms are usually Rovers IME.

nah, now my car's gone....


Its normally accompanied by flashing hazard warning lights, IMO it should be changed for a louder one.

It had already stopped by the time i'd reached the window.
Then when i went down to the car there was nothing untoward so I tried not to read to much into it.

Paranoia is a common symptom of new car ownership to me.
