Alarm siren help

    Just purchased an S3 and had the rear quarter windows open as its warm, but i forgot to turn off the internal sensors. When i returned to the car the indicators were flashing but no siren. Any ideas and where is the siren to check it out...help.

    Sirens ( I think by law) have to turn off after a finite amount of time ( and I can't remember what it is). So its more than likely just turned itself off.

    Right, thanks for that. I shall attempt a test but thats good to know.

    Does any one know where the siren is?

    I think siren goes for about 30 seconds, but indicators remain flashing for quite a while.

    had a look for the siren but can't see anything that looks like one. Passenger side is the sub, changer, rear lights and a small box with foam around it.

    Any ideas??

    I have a feeling it's the small box. (The one right at the back at the bottom, not the one up near the back seat - I think that's the seatbelt reel).
    It's a puny alarm anyway, and sounds like a radio alarm clock.

    If I remember correctly the small box with foam around it is part of the central locking.

    Yes it is....

    Foam can be seen on the right of the picture.

    So thats nothing to do with the alarm then...getting a little confused with this one
