Alarm Immobiliser fitted ?

Hi there,

just bought a 1.8T Sport (1996) and can't work out if it has an immobliser fitted or not.

The Greeb Flag inspection (very good 4hr job) said it does, but the garage I am buying from says it has not.

I also checked with SmithKnightFaye servicing department for that model and year to see if it was std fit, they say yes too.

Was wondering what the option code in the log book would tell me whether it does or not ?! The insurance company need to know !

All UK B6 A4's have an alarm and immobiliser as standard mate. The foglight button will flash red when the car's locked.

Sorry that should have said B5 A4 – Your 1996 car will have an immobilizer and Alarm as standard /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
