Alarm button on driver's B pillar

Hi guys, it's hot, wanted to park up with windows open but alarm on while I ate my lunch.

Pressed the button after removing key and clsing driver's door, pressed it woth rear O/S door open, then locked on fob and walked away.

Don't actually know if it's the actual siren or a warning tone but anyway it bleeped when it got a bit windy, anyone remember how to arm this without me actually having to go and find and read the handbook?

You haven't set it correctly.

With the ignition on and the drivers door open (both important) you need to press the button. When you do the led in the doors will illuminate.

The bleep is telling you the alarm is suspicious about some movement.

I thought as much, thanks also noticed the led on the button wasn't lit.
