I have an Audi TT mk1 steering wheel and airbag which id like to fit to my A3 8p 2004.
small wiring problem....
i currently have a 4 spoke style wheel and the airbag connectors seem to be different going to the slip ring??
Original connector-

TT connector-

I am sure this is a common upgrade so can someone lead me in the right direction please.
Thanks!

Not sure abiut the TT steering wheel but for a 2004 you will most likely need a new slip ring and the airbag if it's dual stage has to be wired to single stage but it leaves no guarantees that it will go off in case of an accident...

Ye I think I'll try a new slip ring, may sound stupid but would I need to get the slip ring from the TT and it will def fit?

Your car has a single stage airbag system for ALL airbags, not just steering wheel. Any modification will result in error messages and the probability that it will not deploy in event of an accident.

The slip ring has to match the steering module for your car otherwise you will not be able to get the power steering to work properly.

I've had a look at the wiring on the rear of an similar steering wheel fitted to a 2004 8p and the wiring harness used looks as if it will fit, so for £25 i might aswell give it a go!
ill update this thread soon....
