Just bought a 2010 A6, and left it with the dealer to try and remove some scratching (more like scuffs) to the chrome effect plastic surround of the airbag.
I'm really disappointed about this and really want to get it sorted. I know I can buy an airbag and get it fitted, but I also know that will cost plenty of £££'s that I'm not prepared to spend on a second hand car.
Is there anyway at all that anyone knows of that I can try and get these scratches either out, or recover/spray the trim? I know it's mega thin coated plastic. Everyone says you can't just replace this trim, but I have seen some airbags for sale with said trim missing from them - as though it has been clipped out??
Anyone with some skill on these matters got any ideas for me?
Thanks
