Hi,
I got an air mass meter at the weekend and was happy when everyone I spoke to said the same thing, 5 or 10mins to fit. But I've came up against a problem - I cannot remove the current meter from the car. It seems to be permenantly attached to the part it is connected to. There are no proper screws to undo just some plastic ones with a weird head on them that wouldnt fit a screw driver (the same as the ones on the attached photo - top left hand corner). Maybe I have to get this whole unit rather than just the meter?? The part it is attached to is also attached to the hose with a clip - I am in looking at the correct part arent I?

Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks

OK after reading elsewhere on the forum it seems I need a Torx Anti-Tamper screwdriver to get these 'weird' screws off - anyone know what size I need for 1999 TDI? Has anyone on here done this before?

Thanks

Those screws have a large head and a set of mole grips takes them off no bother. They are only into plastic after all.
