Whats a good option to get a bit of roar, 44 for a pipercross seems a bit excessive, is the K&N cone any good.

I realise there isnt much space so anyone know of a good system?

I had a K&N on my red a4 but after couple months I took it off. They are situated to near the heatshield and suck in alot of hot air resulting into poor performance. Soon as I put my Panel filter back on and slapped in a Piper, jobs a good-un. felt alot more responsive once warmed up. Not much on the noise scene though...

The one on Ebay doesnt seem too bad if thats what you are into. Did you mention somehwere you have an aftermarket DV ?? You'll hear it nice and loud through the cone filter!!

see id like the cone filter but again its the heat soak.

Also noone makes the closed induction kits for our cars :(

the one i linked above is a simota filter and i've read some bad things about their quality so im gonna pass and grab a pipercross for the mean time.

I should be gettin my phone back from repair saturday, i'll take pics then!! i just ripped out the box, put the cone in its place, and put the shield over it and fixed arms to the brackets on the o/s of the engine, no masterpiece as yet but just wanted to keep it as fridgey as possible in there, and it does the job, after a drive up to EMA I stuck my hand in there and you could1ve left your milk in there!!!

haha!! i gotta admit i'm thinking of a change tbh, gettin back to my jap roots, serviced an r32(not golf-skyline) yesterday and took it for an 'extended' road test, and yes it was loud and droney, yes it was super stiff, but so was i!!! the power was just vicious!! maybe once my pay packet starts to look ok i'll grab myself an sx or a r33, it wont have all my creature comforts like my cloudy, but itl be a bloody good laugh!! i just gotta think do i fork out for a nice clean example thats already got over 350, which most have tbh, or do i use the money to get heavily into the dub scene. hmmmmmmm.......................
