I dont think the filters bother the maf on a V6 as much as it does a turbo charged. My mate ran a K&N on his V6 4Motion Golf for a year or so and if it still applies another mate had one on his VR6 for about 3 years with no problems at all, they sound most awesome on a V6

12V is fine, as it has a more durable MAF.

However, the 12V engines arent that powerful to begin with 150PS (2,598cc) or 174PS (2,771cc).

You'll end up losing power, and your fuel economy will plummet sharply.

The AEM dryflow is what came with my X-1 intake kit, had no problems with it. Good filter, well made, and easy to clean. SDR-research did a lot of trials with various filters before settling on this type. But then my engine is quite a bit different to yours. Massive cone, but had a little trouble getting it to fit well, but still works a the same I guess!
