If anyone else out there has an early airbag module by that i mean around the 2000 to 2001 period who has this fault get in touch.
My 225 BAM engined TT had the airbag light on when i bought it
the previous owner had the module sent away supposedly cleared but when it was refitted the light remained.
I did some work on VAG-COM which will not reset it and spoke to my friendly dealers who advised that the dreaded internal memory fault meant a new module.. £317.00 roughly plus i'd need to fit it. I discovered it mainly affects units ending with A at the end of the part number.
However i recently laid my hands on a nifty little toy which within 15 seconds will successfully reset the module without the need to remove it. The system now does it's self check and extinguishes the light as it should.

If anyone needs this doing and you are in or around Redditch Worcestershire UK let me know £35 is all i'm asking if it doesn't work then no charge.
