ai over running when you take foot of gas

hi just bought a1 s line when in gear and you take your foot of the gas it keeps same speed or goes up a little so you need to brake to slow it
it only happens now and again
car is only 18 months old
any help please ??

I'm guessing this is a diesel? If not then I have no idea

My old A1 Tdi did the same. Think it's just the anti stall kicking in. I imagine you were probably still in a high gear at a low speed.

I thought this was normal, every diesel car I have driven has done this. I have the 1.6L TDI and it does this, I also used to drive a 2L BMW and that did the same. I only noticed it since I've drove a petrol car for the past 2 years.
