    Nice work Stace.

Does the TT not have fog lights at all? It definitely looks an easier job on the TT to the S3.

So much more space :( Seems like the piping routes were better too. The AH V2 fits ok with 2x alloy 90s and 2x silicone 90s but it wasn't quite perfect and the hose to the charge pipe on the drivers side is rubbing on the back of the headlight.

    were aliens an optional extra??

heres a sneak peak of my work today:
    welly cooler
63mm pipes, welded on to end tanks.
so far, very promising in keeping fogs, i've dont LOTS of measuring back and to my bumper.
will post everything when its finished.

    god its warm!!

Did you find that alloy 90 degree pipe sits a bit pissed into the hose to the charge pipe?

    not particularly no.
looking at it right now, i can twist the pipe on the charge pipe to make it sit better, with clamps on it will be perfect

    Looking good Super K!

My only one concern would be how have you flushed / mated the 63mm pipe onto the 76mm tank on the exit side of the cooler?

On the way in, I don't think the step or lip would effect flow at all, but on the exit, if you've pushed the 63 inside say 15mm (as an example) then welded around the end, you've effectively created a little 10-15mm slot if that makes sense?

im unsure of how dave did it, but, i imagine the 3inch hole was welded around its inside to reduce the diameter slightly, then the 2.5 inch bend place on/slightly in to this reduced hole, and the pipe and gap then welded. it certainly looks that way to me. i cant imagine the pipe being deep into that outlet at all.

here are my final pictures of it:

as said in my thread, the 3inch outlets foul the fog grills, but they are secure.
i had no idea where the bumper would foul, but im more than happy with the outcome!

p.s. i want to paint the pipes black to stealth it a little. of course keeping the shiny core!

Best pull the plug to the pump behind the headlight as risk burning the pump out, could always set up an intercooler spray kit to run off of this pump I'm in the process of doing so ;)

Should mention that they are going to be part of the MOT as any car with Xenons need self levelling and washers... any bit of it that doesn't work will mean a failed MOT..

I like what you have done there Karl, but I would have the same concern as Prawn. What length 90deg pipes did you get. Gonna order some and fit mine your way so as to keep the fogs but with a slight difference. Gonna make some step down connectors so there is no gap between the pipe and cooler and weld it all together.

    Ok, thank you !

And do I order 60mm or 63mm tubing ? Because original is 60mm I guess and the FAB V2 has 63mm bends ?

Steven, ALL the information you need is in this thread, all the links to sellers, the sellers everyone has used, the lists of parts they have used, many people, Bill, Welly, Westy, Tufty, Karl, Sportstractor, myself, and many others have all taken the time to post up detailled write ups with links, pics, problems, solutions, everything. Please take time to read all 12 pages before posting any more FMIC questions.

There can be nothing more frustrating than being PM'd a question, and giving a full and thorough answer, only to find that exact question posted on the public board a few hours later. The original recipient of your PM has obviosuly been selected for a reason, so you've already in effect 'validated' the quality of the response before you've even pressed send!

If you're going to do something like that, you're best just asking in here first, that way people don't feel like they're wasting their time going to the trouble of writing a detailled PM direct to you, only for it to be ignored.

Make sure he welds the brackets on the correct way

But yeah, that's right plus I used one of the OEM hoses from MAP tube to alloy 90 on the passenger side.

Mr Prawn & Irish Dave, I hear your concerns.......;)

But do not worry, i built the rim of the pipes up with 15mm ali bands so it was the exact size, then ported them out to 2mm off the core size, then welded flush with the core...:o.k:

Have a look on eBay too. I got a pair of the (SFS?) upper two hoses (with dv relocation) for a bargain and seen as they don't really wear, it's no worse than new really.

Yeah, just go for normal. It makes a tiny bit of difference to the life of the diverter valve, supposedly. Downside is it's a bit more piping to do.

No worries! There's enough in this thread to cover most scenarios. Tufftys pictures were a major help to me. Report back after your fitting to improve my guide! :)
