I want to put my alpine stereo into the allroad and not sure what autoleads harness adapter I need.

It's a symphony 2 with no bose signs on the speakers, but im sure there is a speaker in the panel in the boot

I see they do an adapter that has the RCA connection, would this go to the rear or sub output on the alpine?

The factory setup will have small amplifiers you may end up dealing with. The problem can be the fact that theyre made for one kind of input from the OEM headunit and youre changing it to something else. You may end up with broken amps or speakers. If you dont care, go ahead and just swap it out using a haness that plugs into the back of your aftermarket headunit and connect that into the factory wiring. If you plan to upgrade the rest later, go ahead, because youll be swapping things out anyway. If youre on the cautious side, replace the speakers, headunit and run new wires and completely bypass the factory audio system and its cables. When I did my audio, I only used the factory ground and power cables in my factory harness to power the headunit. I ran all new cables for everything else. Now im not saying youre going to get catastrophic results after swapping out headunits, but just so you know, that its possible that OEM things can break, because youre using a different headunit, thats all. If you check in audio stores, they should be able to tell you what harness you will need to plug into the back of your headunit to connect to the harness thats in the car. You can also look in the car manual to find the wiring diagram and find the cables there as well. If you dont have the manual, see if you can find one or buy one. Hope this helps you out at least somewhat. Good luck.

    Thanks for your help.

The problem is there are two possible harnesses listed. This is why I asked the question

One has rca's, one doesn't. so if my setup has a separate amp, I think I will need the first but I'm not sure how to check if I do.

Ohhhhhh, thats an easy one! RCA cables are for sending signal down thru the car to an amplifier. Aftermarket headunits have rca plugs on the back, thats an unamplified signal for amps, speaker and sub amps. The regular cables are for hooking speakers up to them and running them from just the headunit. If youre going to be using a speaker and subwoofer amp, you will need to pick up 3 pairs of RCA's. One pair will be for the sub, the other two are for front and rear sets of speakers. Also, what model headunit are you using? I'd like to take a look at the specs on it.

I know about rca's and subs etc,I used to fit stereo's for a living. All i need to know is if my car has a separate amp already from the factory.
