Hey,

I've got a half amped A3 and just wanted to know if there's any way of wiring the rear speakers to the head unit without buying a wiring harness?...

30 quid seems a bit steep for a few bits of wire and a couple of connectors imo!....

Cheers...

Just rewire the rears directly to the HU, however you will still need an adapter in order to feed the tupperware sub.
To rewire the rears you'll need 2 lengths of speaker cable and either the female pins from an ISO block (so you can just insert them into the spare slots on the Audi front speaker connector), or just buy a male to female ISO speaker harness and modify it so that the front loom plugs into one end and the spare leads connect to the new cable, then the complete female end plugs into the new HU (£4.99 from Maplins)

Either method retains the Audi loom so no butchering needed.
You'll then just need an RCA input adapter to feed the tupperware sub from your sub pre-outs on the HU. These are only £10.95 (PC9-404)
