After seeing Rick from Unicorn Remapping! (pics!)

    So i finally got my S3 brakes fitted and MTC induction kit and had booked in with Rick on the Sat. Long story short, after some hours of logging and changing the map, i had a HUGE boost leak! so i needed to come back midweek when his garage was open.

    So monday i took another trip to Manchester from a town from the east coast of Lincolnshire, (hint, we are currently shown on the tesco advert to do with fish). What a great drive through the peak district!

    Got there for 10am, and Ricks mechanic spent an hour doing a pressure test... surprisingly every came out perfect!
    So next step was to ramp the car up and check the N75 valve! Dont mind the dirty car :p

    So everything was fine with the wastegate and things, so next step, the rev B dump valve on the car which has done 125k miles.
    and this was the outcome...

    look at those holes! no wonder i was on half boost. So rick went to a local dealer to pick me up a rev D valve. and in the mean time i took a few pics while waiting...

    The new S3 brakes, which i think are actually off the equiv Seat.

    And back to the map.




    Rick gets back and the new valve was quickly put in. Now was back to testing. There was a smile on my face from the clear lack of power i didn't realise was meant to be there until now! Rick thinks it was running around 160bhp which is why i got beat by the diesel BMW 1 series earlier this week! :p
    Anyway after going out with the new map and some logging i had a huge smile on my face, i couldn't even believe the difference! its no S3 but still threw you back in your seat, but Rick wasn't happy and fine tuned the map a little but more.
    An hour later after more logging and tweaking, i got to drive it back to the garage. WOW, the new pull was amazing and i enjoyed the drive home incredibly!

    Rick was soo helpful and as i don't know much, i was asking every question possible and he was great in explaining to me how everything worked while in the garage and while remapping. I havnt got a print out of power but im guessing its at least 260 now!

    Unfortunatly, took it out last night in the freezing cold, and had a little bit of clutch slipping in the higher gears between 3-4k revs, this didnt happen when testing so bad times as i cant afford a new clutch, but its not a big problem anyway. must of been a great map!

    dont worry! just do it. or just get a bluefin remap and sure clutch will be fine lol

    nowt wrong with the bumper! not sure why it looks like iv reversed into a post :/ but i havnt!

    he does know his stuff! soo glad i took it all that way.

    It is official, the clutches on these cars are garbage. You just even have to look at them the wrong way and they seem to start slipping lol

    Yep it is, i had to cut the hose down a bit where the intake goes and angle it down as it was WEY TOO BIG to fit anywhere. Thats why its all at an angle lol.

    Hi Jon,

    glad you like it :) Your car held pressure better than any I have seen on the pressure test, it just sat there!

    Full exhaust next and launch control for pops and bangs? lol

    Yeh well i was going to save to get an S3, but i suddenly thought screw that, il spend the money on this and go big turbo! so next jan, it will be exhaust, fuel pump and hopfully intercooler, then september stage 4? i think so. 450bhp will do me fine! :p

    REVO says no engine internals need uprating so sounds a good plan! lol

    and i will need your help for all this! i will be speaking to you next jan to sort coming down and having stage 2+ done!
