After 2 years of owning the car Ive fixed the rev counter (tutorial inside)

So ive owned my audi for just over 2 years now but the rev counter never worked, It just sat there and flickered. Well after some frustration.. sweating and running out of the car because a killer bee decided to help it finally works.

Spin that needle with an angry expression around and around and test

I suspect the rear cogs/motor were not sat properly, maybe it needed coaxing into sitting correctly lol

Yeah think it was the cogs as they were crunching abit then going smooth etc. But thougt fk it forced it around and it works although I set it high so looks like it idles at 1000, but when engine is off it sits above 0 so not really bothered.

Just turn ignition on, then swing it round to 0, takes a few hundred attempts lol.

When pushing needle down when positioned correctly, this is when the cogs become dislodged.
