Hi folks

I'm looking to buy a TT Coupe and I'm torn between two at the moment need to go to a dealer as have my 2005 A3 3.2 to chop in

2007 3.2 quattro black 41000 miles sat nav very light grey interior £12500

2008 3.2 quattro silver 59000 miles no sat nav black interior £11500

No Bose in any of them and no steering wheel controls

My head is saying the 2008 but its just feels a wee bit boring in silver

Personally I'd go for the 2007 just with the lower miles etc. and i assume the sat nav is the built in RNSe unit which is around £400 extra and would add to any future resale value. The only thing with the black is it does chip easily on the front end, a lot of the dealers wil use sealants/glazes on the car when selling but after a few washes this will wear away and you may see quite a few stone chips appearing on the front.

Thanks for replying dzTT. Turns out the 2008 had quite a large hole in the service history that they failed to mention, last service 2012 51000 miles now done 59000 makes me think it has been sitting in a lock up somewhere waiting to be repaired from a shunt.

Its possible, although audi have been recommending that 10,000 miles is the service requirements and not mentioning the years section. I know that in my service book it has no mention of date/time wise for services, timing belts, oil changes etc. but only mentions miles or kilometers

Yes dzTT you could of course be correct and I may be being a little too cautious but having had the dreaded chain stretch on the A3 3.2 V6 (£4780 from main dealer to fix it) I really want a bang up to date every year service history as not changing the oil and long term servicing seems to be one of the main contributing factors to the chain stretching. Ive not heard much about chain stretch on the 3.2 mk2 TT though.

Nowt wrong with with silver!

The TT has date and mile servicing intervals..at least mine does...either 12 months or every 10k.

Silver to be honest as it looks clean even when dirty......

The chains were revised on later cars so it doesn't seem as much of an issue.

Thanks for the replies guys (Silver Cab looks fantastic) I'm on the TTForum as well and a few people have had chain stretch on 57 and 08 plates so I'm starting to get scared off of the 3.2 V6 all together to be honest

Scaremongering!

A well looked after and regularly service TT won't suffer chain stretch until min 100k. I'm a bit off that yet mind, only done 35k!
