advice needed

hi i have a audi a3 1.6 R reg, ive got a set of 15" pepperpots and want to fit lower profile tyres on them, has any1 ever fitted 195/45/R15 to them and had any problems? I ask because i was told by a tyre fitter that they will not fit on my car.


also when lowering whats the best to go for, coil overs or just lowering springs?
